When using diesel engines as emergency and backup power sources, one or more devices can be used, and the installed capacity can be flexibly configured according to actual needs.
2. Light weight per unit power and flexible installation
The supporting equipment of the diesel generator set is relatively simple, less supporting equipment, small in size and light in weight. Taking high-speed diesel engine as an example, it is generally 8 ~ 20 kg/kW, and the index of steam power unit is more than 4 times larger than that of diesel engine. The characteristics of diesel generators are flexible and easy to move.
Diesel generators used as main power sources for independent power sources are mostly configured independently, and standby or emergency diesel generators are often used with variable devices. Diesel generators are generally not paralleled with the city power grid, and there is sufficient water source (the cooling water consumption of diesel engines is 34~82L/(KW.h)), which is only 1/10 of that of turbogenerators. The installation area is small, so the installation site is comparatively small. flexible.
3. High thermal efficiency and low fuel consumption
The effective thermal efficiency of a diesel engine is 30-46%, that of a high-pressure steam turbine is 20-40%, and that of a gas turbine is 20-30%. Due to the relatively high effective thermal efficiency of a diesel engine, the fuel consumption is relatively low.
